Penny ante
Thought I would hit my Deus Training area before the rains came. Got in about 4 hours before getting wet. Gridded the area where I found 7 pennys and a Merc the other day. It was one of the least hunted areas of the 1940's parking lot. Today produced ten wheats and 2 1943 S War Nickels. Also the usual tax tokens, a key, two small reflectors (a clear one and a broken red one) I think that they may have been on a tram that picked up folks in the parking lot. The lot was about 1/4 deep and 1/2 mile long. I also dug lots of copper wire. With the price of metal these days, I think I will start a bucket of copper. LOl

It's amazing how much difference the 35% silver of the war nickels make in how they look out of the ground compared to a normal nickel.

I have heard that to much rain will ruin a wheat patch, you must have got to them wheats just in time. Ours down this way had already drown. I couldn't find anything yesterday, but a silver spoon, no cat in the cradle.
