I'm still excited over this one....

Post by gator211 on Mon Mar 05, 2012 3:18 am

I went back out to the ghost town today with a buddy of mine. He had seen my barber dime from last weekend, so he was dying to go back with me.

I had been hunting for about 5 and half hours when I found what may be the find of a lifetime for me in Oklahoma:

1853 Liberty Seated Dime

It rang up an 8-41-43 on the etrac. I've got a video, but oh man....you guys are going to crack up. I was so excited after finding the dime I was actually holding the camera vertically for the segment that shows the dime cleaned up...my camera doesn't work that way. LOL. You'll see what i mean. I'll get the vid up tomorrow hopefully.

I also had some other cool finds:

I'm thinking this is my first watch fob or maybe medal. It's obviously masonic, but I'm not sure what it is exactly. Either it will be another first for me today.

We had a heck of time, and the great finds just capped it off as a great day in the outdoors.

Once you've been "Seated", "Standing" or "Walking" are not so special. LOL
