Inclimate weather digging.

When you wanna dig bad enough I go digging.As you can see Im laying down in the pit while its snowing.Then later it warmed up and it was muddy and wet, then it snowed again.The site I was hunting was an Mansion at one point and the 2nd and last time it burnt down was during the Civil War.Well the wet,cold mud and snow paid off this day

Here is a button fresh from the ground and its a low concave button and my first thought was wee doggie Confederate

Here it is air dried.My first impression was a Georgia State Seal.

Can you make it out now that I did a little cleaning on it?

Turns out to be a PC-155 from Alberts Book which is an 1840's Harrisson Campaign Button.Harrisson and VanBuren where going at it in 1840.
