Hey I am new to the hobby, but am having a ball. However, even after a short hunt my gear is filthy (an so am I). Do any of you have any suggestions or tips to keep my gear clean. What to you "pros" use to clean your gear after a hunt? Is this like every night cleaning or once a week? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.. Depending on how nasty it is hunting, I may clean it after every hunt. Here recently that has been happening a lot.. It depends alot on what equipment I have depends on how I clean it. My water proof machines I just hose them down with a dish washing brush.. My more delicate detectors I take them down. Most newer detectors have water proof coils so I take the skid plate off of the coil and rinse both using the dish brush to get off the excess mud. I don't recommend using any cleaners other that warm soapy water. I put screen protectors(cell phone) on all my screens if I don't have a rain/dust cover. Baby wipes work well for excess dirt on these. I figured if it doesn't hurt my human kid it should be ok for my electronic one. Again welcome. Don't feel bad asking questions cause you are new.. we have all been there.. good luck this year...GfH

Mine don't get cleaned after every hunt, but a quick wipe down with warm soapy water and a sponge/rag, makes quick work of the mess and keeps the house cleaner. Welcome and enjoy the hobby.
