Curious cause I really don't know. Realizing the utility of having the magnet on the trowel is there any danger if it were to contact the Trac housing and maybe messing up the computer hardware?

I use the same magnet Gman does, I dont know about any damage to the detector, but there is a hazard to your fingers. I have brought blood with that lil dude.

I have a 72 pound pull magnet duct taped to an old screwdriver that I stick on my Lesche scabbard to use for pulling square nails (and other iron) out of holes and clods. It can pull the iron out of a co-inhabited hole very quickly. I have carried it with my F75, my Explorer and my WiFi Deus and no ill effects on any of them that I can tell.

You guys have some cool equipment and alot of knowledge to go with out.
