This was found at a pre civil war site, right in the middle of a bunch of square nails.

Question when you put the flat part in the palm of your hands,does three fingers fit between the to upright bent parts? What Im thinking is that you have a hand forged Hoof Pick. I have one that looks similar.

Yea the tips of three of my fingers can fit in it. I can get three in but kind of tight.

the two bent posts are supposed to go straight up, but there bent to hell.IM sticking with its a hoof pick.
