Dpdave, me, and Noah's Ark.....

Post by GonehuntingForHistory on Sat Feb 18, 2012 11:49 pm

Well didn't find the Ark but could have used it today.. Met Dave today after having to cancel the hunt with Bart. We met in town at a row of houses from the turn of the century. One house(didn't get permission) was a wealthy family who had a huge orchard. In the 20's it was over a mile wide in all directions. It even had an office that is as big as my house now. It too is still standing. After getting the "no" I drove past it and saw where the land right next door was for sale... called the real estate agent and got permission. Was there about 30 minutes when the rain started coming down. Managed these two wheats a '20 and '46.

I also found the smallest reed to an accordion that I have ever found..

I did get a cool token from a hospital that I think used to be in Durant but closed many years ago...

Had fun but was wishing the rain would let us hunt. Rescheduled the hunt with Bart and hopefully go in the next couple of weeks. Dave and I are heading back there tomorrow cause with that large of a orchard there has to be something there.... thanks for looking..
