Deus 3-14-12 got some depth today

Went to a small park that has yielded 20-25 silvers and over 100 wheats that past couple of years. It is the spot that I take new coils or detectors to since I have really pounded it hard. The past 5 or 6 hunts with the Explorer has yielded nothing and the only coin that I have found lately was a lone buffalo with the Deus with the 9 inch coil. (my only hunt there with the Deus) I put on the 13 incher today, Went to Gmaxx and set the reactivity to 1 and went really slowly across the same ole Minelab tracks. The first penny (1944 D) was only about 6 to 7 inches, then I found the junk pendant. Now the last penny (to corroded to pull a date from, but can tell it is a wheat) was one of those, "sounds like a coin but no VDI". I dug a nice 6 inch deep plug and it was still in the hole, dug out some dirt and it was still in the hole. I cleaned out all of the loose dirt and I had my Garrett Pro Pointer all the way in the hole and the coin was still in the hole. Another 1/4 to 1/2 inch of dirt and I finally got to the wheatie. If you measure a Pro Pointer, it is just over 9 inches. Now we are getting into Explorer and E-trac depth on a nice manicure park.
The coin may be crap but the depth is impressive.
